Iowa's Largest Exhibit of Original Work by a National Representation of Artists
275 Original Works by 95 National Artists-Not to be missed.

ArtLife Society presents the 4th Annual Small Works Show running from November 18th to January 9th at Emerald Gallery, on the Square, at 56 S. Main Street in Fairfield, Iowa.

This year's exhibit boasts another magnificent array of visual stimulation with 275 framed original artworks for sale. Most art ranges in price from $75-$600. At final count, the exhibit features work by 95 artists! The show includes work of 34 participating artists who were not in last year's exhibit.

National attention is increasing as is demonstrated by this year's exhibit featuring the work of 29 out-of-state artists. Organizers say that figure is almost double the national representation of last year. Additionally, art work is being sent by artists from Indonesia, Norway, France and the Ukraine.

New to the show roster this year are a few artists from Chicago-based Project Onward, a studio program for artists with special needs based at the Chicago Cultural Center, started by the wife of the former mayor.

The 2005 Small Works Show also features several out-of-state artists whose work is already collected by Iowa art collectors: Lynne Marshall, Wendy Higgins, David Garrison, Vinnie Sutherland, Kevin Casey, Wayne Bender, Carol Leskowitz and Madeline de Joly.

Participating Iowa artists David Garrison, Diane Naylor, Jeri Felix, Gordon Kellenberger, Larassa Kabel and John Preston are among the artists with the top collected works by southeast Iowa area patrons.

Close to two dozen participating Iowa artists are from outside the Fairfield area. With more than 300 visual artists residing in Fairfield, a solid 40 participating artists are from the local creative pool.

Last year's Annual Small Works Show presented $4,200 in awards to artists through the Corporate Purchase Awards Program. The newly introduced program met with such success that ArtLife Society exhibit organizers expect the Awards Program to total $8,000 for this year's 4th annual event.

Profits gained from the Small Works Show enable the non-profit ArtLife Society to further its mission to provide and support community arts opportunities.

The 4th Annual Small Works Show is held at Emerald Gallery, on the Fairfield Downtown Square. The two-month exhibit runs from November 18 through January 9th.
